Hello and Welcome
My name is Kevin MJ Palmer and I live in Brisbane Australia.
I have had a life long fascination with Photography, probably linked to being amazed as a child at National Geographic colour images and stories. After a chance encounter with a 35mm camera at a school swimming carnival (thank you Rod Smith) I just wanted to do more. Bought my first camera (for almost the same price as my first car mind you) and started learning and coming to an understanding of the poetry of capturing light.
My early influences being masters of black and white like Ansel Adams, portrait photographers like Cecil Beaton and wildlife specialist such as Ron and Valerie Taylorand Steve Parish. (Now I am just humbled by the many brilliant and talented photographers I meet who are just everyday people, like me.)
My ambitions of being a visual story teller were realised for a short time, but life often has different ideas. Then after a life changing event I decided it was time to once again pick up a camera and rediscover this art form I have always loved.
And so on to 2019 where I decided it was my time to make a comeback baby!
The aim of the galleries and this website is to be a display space of my images as well as a unique photography experience for you.
