Resting on a railing, with it’s timber blackened and discoloured. Aged and worn. See the moss, lichen and a miniature forest make their home.
Leaves slowly join the scene, gently gliding down from above. Landing and settling, finding their final place.
Each leaf landing, different in shape and colour. Adding to and building the picture.
Yet it will never be a picture completed.
Each day it will change.
New leaves arriving, those already there slowly changing, reshaping and finally disappearing.
But don’t feel sadness at this.
The railing stays.
Slowly waiting to again be a resting place.
