The evening air is clear, crisp and a gentle touch to the skin.
The night sky with its scattered stars touches the surface of the water.
The water still, calm and its surface as a glassy place, leads on.
To look at the horizon the sky and the sea are one.
The inky blackness of the water only disturbed by the wake from the bow as it curls away,
and the sound of gentle rippling water brings its own peace.
The faint blue bioluminescence leaves the stern as a pathway left behind.
And as it does, so do those things dwelt on that once crowded in the mind now likewise,
slowly fading away just as does the disappearing trail.
A peacefulness that now soaks in deep becomes the vessel.
The gliding, gentle movement separating you from where you were to where you will be.
